Join us in Dorchester for a welcoming half marathon and 10km running event around the incredible county town of Dorset.
Starting and finishing at Dorchester Cricket Club, the route is mainly on pavements and cycle paths, giving runners an enjoyable way to experience the town and surrounding area in a friendly event atmosphere.
The course is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for a wide range of abilities. Whether you’re chasing a time, building towards a new goal, or simply looking for a relaxed and memorable day of running, this event offers a great mix of town scenery, support and local character.
The run takes place mainly on paved surfaces and cycle paths, making it suitable for runners who enjoy a road-style event without the pressure of a large city race.
This is a friendly, small-scale local run with a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere. Once you start, we’ll be cheering you all the way to the finish! Everyone can choose to receive a medal and you'll get a recorded time, so just bring a positive spirit and enjoy the day — it’s about having fun, not chasing Olympic gold. Of course, you can push for your best time, but we welcome runners, walkers and jeffers alike.
Come and enjoy Dorchester, Dorset’s historic county town.
Not everyone wants or values a medal, so we’ve made it optional—you can choose to enter with or without one.
Medals often travel a surprisingly long way before reaching you, and we’re mindful of the environmental impact that creates. There’s little benefit in reducing waste in areas like feed stations if we’re not also considering the footprint of items like medals.
By giving you the choice, we can offer greater flexibility while taking a more thoughtful approach to sustainability.
