Run through the heart of the New Forest
The New Forest Road Run offers a completely different experience from a busy town or city event.
Both routes start and finish at Ocknell Campsite, following peaceful forest roads beneath ancient woodland and beside wide areas of open heathland.
Along the way, you may encounter the ponies, cattle, donkeys and deer that roam freely across this extraordinary landscape. Whether you are chasing a time or simply enjoying the surroundings, it is a run you will remember long after the finish.
Run amongst ponies, heathland and ancient woodland
This is a working, living landscape. The animals roam freely and are part of what makes the New Forest so special.
Wildlife always has priority. Please do not approach, feed or disturb the animals, and follow all instructions from marshals.

Quiet forest roads, open skies and the chance to share the route with the animals that make the New Forest unique.

Registration: 07:30 – 09:00
All routes start: 09:15

The routes are marked, but signs can occasionally be moved. We recommend downloading the route to your phone or navigation device.
Marshals will be located at course splits where applicable.
There is no formal cut-off for this event.
Runners on all routes must return to the event venue by 14:00 or be collected by the broom wagon.

Please note we do not supply gels. We cannot guarantee products are free from nuts, gluten or wheat. If you have specific food needs, please carry your own supplies.

Not everyone wants or values a medal, so we've made it optional. You can choose to enter with or without one when you enter.
To receive a finisher's medal you must enter by 14th Feb. This is the cut-off date for us to place the medal order with our manufacturer.
Entries remain open after this date, however late entrants will receive a generic medal.
