Join us on the Somerset Levels for a scenic run on flat, tarmaced roads with very limited traffic, offering a calm and enjoyable experience in a unique and beautiful landscape.
The route is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for runners of all abilities, showcasing the wide-open views and peaceful surroundings the Levels are known for.
Whether you’re chasing a time or simply looking to enjoy a memorable day out, this course provides the perfect opportunity to settle into a steady rhythm on consistently flat terrain.
The run takes place entirely on road, with tarmac throughout, the 10km is an out and back and the half a Loop through Godney, flat and fast for both routes.
This is a friendly, small-scale local run with a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere. Once you start, we’ll be cheering you all the way to the finish! Everyone receives a medal and a recorded time, so just bring a positive spirit and enjoy the day — it’s about having fun, not chasing Olympic gold. Of course, you can push for your best time, but we welcome runners, walkers and jeffers alike. Come and enjoy (as best you can) the beauty of the Somerset Levels.
Not everyone wants or values a medal, so we’ve made it optional—you can choose to enter with or without one.
Medals often travel a surprisingly long way before reaching you, and we’re mindful of the environmental impact that creates. There’s little benefit in reducing waste in areas like feed stations if we’re not also considering the footprint of items like medals.
By giving you the choice, we can offer greater flexibility while taking a more thoughtful approach to sustainability.
